MAJOR ROAD CLOSURES FOR 4 MONTHS

Severn Trent will be replacing the water main from Kirk Langley to Kedleston starting in early November and continuing to late February 2025.

We will be open as normal but diversions will be in place. Although it will say road closed at each approach you will see access to garden centre and tea room at one end

The 1st phase will mean no access from the Kedleston direction and diversions from kedleston village along Buckhazels Lane will be in place.

This is a relativel narrow lane for the more adventurous driver and we think customers from the Allestree and Duffield area would find it as quick to come along the A52 and get to us from the Kirk Langley direction.

The 2nd phase of works will see lodge lane closed from Kirk Langley, again with diversions in place. Of course by then access from Kedleston will have been restored.

At some point they will need to connect the new main up at each end and we are not sure how that will happen at present.

All road works will be gone for a two week Christmas period but will resume. Should the order of works change, we will update it here.

This is a major headache for us but we have been promised access fo our customers thoughout. It will hopefully put a stop to the endless closures for burst pipes we have endured over the last few years
